Snapshare.co allows direct communication from 2 peers. Data from the 2 peers first transit through our servers in a process called signaling, in order to allow the 2 distant terminals to find each other. Once the connection is made, the data flows directly from the first terminal to the second terminal. The file upload can then start. During this process no data is sent to the Snapshare.co servers.

Usage

Snapshare.co allows uploading files from peers to peers. It should be used only to send legal files that you own.
Snapshare.co should NOT be used for the following file uploads:

  • Illegal copies (movies, music, etc)
  • Pornography of any kind
  • Data related to any criminal activity

Snapshare.co will deny any responsibility for the following uses and will work with the authorities by providing all available data about the file exchange in case of an investigation.

Restrictions

Access to Snapshare.co is restricted and cannot be accessed from the following countries:

Data collection

SnapShare.co will store the username and transaction code for a period of 1 hour. This data is used to make the link between the 2 peers.
Once the 1 hour delay has passed, the transaction is deleted, whether it was completed or never linked to another user.

If you value your privacy, we recommend to never enter your true full name in the 'username' input box, just enter a pseudo that will be recognizable by the user peer. This is the main purpose of this field.

Excepting these, Snapshare.co will not store your IP address on its own servers. We use third party analytics though that could store this data on their servers. Please see the following Cookie section for a list of analytics providers we use.

Cookies

Snapshare.co does not use or store any cookie for its own usage. But we use third party analytics software that will collect information such as IP address, time of connection, and the pages browsed during the connection. The following third party softwares are used on SnapShare.co:
